At our recent membership meeting, we provided an update on LILA‘s 2025 public awareness campaign: Only Hire Licensed—a vital initiative to protect Long Islanders using car, limo, or van services.
Highlights so far:
Held a New Years Press Conference + launch of a tip line to report unlicensed operators Media coverage from News12, PIX11, 1010WINS, LIBN, and local outlets January legislative breakfast with dozens of elected officials—featured in Chauffeur Driven Magazine Presentations to Suffolk Supervisors Association and the National Limousine Association as a national “Best Practices” model. National spotlight from CBS Las Vegas on our passenger safety campaign Video Launch urging residents to “Only Hire Licensed” High-level meetings to create awareness around the public safety issue regarding unlicensed operators with Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine, East End Police Chiefs Association, Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, and Islip officials, Supervisor Angie Carpenter and MacArthur Airport Commissioner Shelley LaRose-Arken.Don’t forget to help us spread the word.
