Across Long Island, individuals are soliciting rides on community “moms pages” and similar social platforms from drivers operating illegally, without the proper licenses, insurance, background checks, or safety requirements mandated for legitimate transportation providers.
Passenger safety must come first. Riders deserve to know that their driver has been vetted, insured, and operates within the law.
LILA’s message is simple and clear:

⚠️ Enforcement is going to be stronger than ever.
🤝 If you are operating illegally, we’re here to help you become legitimate.
